CUBstruction "Tools of the Trade"

Registration for your choice of any 5 Sessions is now available. If you are down at the Council you can pick up the form or you may register online at www.lvacbsa.org.
When: Saturday, November 1, 2008 8 am to 3 pm
Where: Molasky Middle School 7801 W Gilmore Ave Las Vegas, NV 89129

Tie Slides, Cub Crafts, Program Planning, Cub Scout Magic, Beyond the Basics (Sports & Academics), Webelos Program, Webelo Transition to Scout, Pack Ceremonies, Story Telling & Cubmaster Minute, Pack Admin, Blue & Gold Banquet, Derbies & Races, Fundraising, Den Cheif Workshop, Leather, Wood Crafts, Great Outdoors, Games, Camping, LDS Scout Program, Flag Ettiquette, Leader Recognition, Forms and more Forms, Knots.

This FUN is for Cub Leadership (den leaders, Cubmaster, anyone involved in the Cub Scouting program etc.) only! Should be a wonderful time! There is a registration fee of $25.00.

Activity Opportunities

Jamboree on the Air in October
An International Jamboree on the Air will be held Saturday, Oct 18,2008. Our Council has set up a chance for Scouts of all ages to meet Scouts of all ages on the air at Amateur Electronic Supply, 4640 S Polaris Ave, Las Vegas, NV. They will have Ham radio equipment set up for youth to talk with Scouts from all over the world from 9am to 3 pm. Any questions call Dennis Simon, 643-1670 or email at KBUTV@ARRI.net.

Veteran's Day Flag Collection and Retirement
During the week leading up to Veteran's Day (Nov 3-10), those wishing to give their old American Flags the proper send off can leave them at the BSA Las Vegas Area Council office. Great Service project for our Cub Scouts!

Scouting for Food
Details will be shared at the October Roundtable! This is the single largest one day food drive in our community. Collection day will be Saturday, November 15th, many Cub Scouts will be delivering to doors prior to that day.

October Theme: Adventure in Books!

Encourage Family Involvement! Cub Scouting is a family program! Cub Scout Achievements make GREAT family activities!

Game Fun:
Book Return Relay
Divide into two groups.
Place a chair in front and back of the each group
Providing a stack of an equal number of books for each group and place in front chair.
Players pass books back overhead, to the side, between their legs...just cannot turn around to pass book.
Next book cannot be passed until the last person in line proclaims "Book Returned."
Continue until all books have been returned.

Fun Fur with wigglly eyes...can pet the book mark also.

Bear Folklore Achievements fit perfect this months theme!
